Mother arrested for forcing 12-year-old daughter in Binh Duong to 'serve' stepfather

On December 12, the People's Procuracy of Binh Duong province announced that it had approved the decision to prosecute and issue a temporary detention order for Le Thi Hong (40 years old, from Dak Lak) and Nguyen Thanh Hong (37 years old, from Dong Nai) to investigate the crime of rape.

Accordingly, on December 5, Tan Vinh Hiep Ward Police, Tan Uyen City, Binh Duong Province received a report from a local teacher that LQA (12 years old, from Dak Lak) had been sexually abused multiple times by her stepfather, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong.

According to the statement, LQA lived with her biological mother, Ms. Le Thi Hong, and Mr. Hong at a house in Tan Vinh Hiep ward.

From 2019 to 2023, Mr. Hong began to touch sensitive parts of LQA's body.

In early 2024, although she knew about the incident, Ms. Hong did not stop it and even told her daughter not to resist "so that the family would have money". After that, Mr. Hong continued the above depraved behavior.

At its peak, on December 1, 2024, the mother forced her daughter to "serve" her stepfather. Seeing that her daughter did not agree, she used her hand to clamp and cover the child's mouth and even beat her. At this time, QA continuously resisted, so Thanh Hong could not carry out the act.

On December 5, LQA told his story to a classmate, who then told the teacher. During the police investigation, both subjects confessed to their crimes.

The investigation agency has prosecuted Nguyen Thanh Hong and Le Thi Hong for raping a person under 16 years old and ordered their temporary detention until April 4, 2025.
