Improve knowledge of information security for departments, branches and localities

50 IT specialists in Hai Duong were updated, introduced, and warned about scams via social networks, telephones, and measures to prevent cyber attacks.

Master Ho Kim Cuong, Vietnam Cyberspace Emergency Response Center (VNCERT/CC) introduces students to a lot of knowledge on ensuring network information security.

On the morning of June 21, the Department of Information and Communications of Hai Duong opened a training course on professional development and information security assurance for 50 officers specializing in information technology and security at departments, branches and People's Committees of districts, cities and towns in the province.

On June 21 and 22, Master Ho Kim Cuong, lecturer at the Vietnam Cyber Emergency Response Center (VNCERT/CC), Department of Information Security (Ministry of Information and Communications) introduced to students general topics on information security; data theft attack techniques, online and phone fraud situations; incident detection based on SIEM system; data protection and prevention of spyware that steals data.

Students share information security and safety situation at the unit they are in charge of.

Students and lecturers exchange experiences and update information security and safety information of each agency and unit that students are in charge of. Practice methods of protecting and recovering data when attacked by cyber attacks, handling spyware that steals data, and using firewalls to block malware connections.
