On the afternoon of August 26, the 2023 Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association Table Tennis and Badminton Championship held its final and closing matches at the Provincial Children's House.
In table tennis, Hai Duong Radio and Television team won the team event. Department of Information and Communications won second prize; Hai Duong Newspaper team won third prize.
The men's doubles pair Pham Tien Binh - Nguyen Ngoc Trung (Hai Duong Radio and Television Station) won the men's doubles event. The athlete pair Tran Anh Tuan - Dinh Nhan Hoa (Elderly Journalists Club) won second prize; Huynh Van Long - Nguyen Van Nghiep (Hai Duong Newspaper) won third prize.
In the men's singles category from 18 to 45 years old, and men's singles category from 46 to 65 years old, two players Nguyen Trong Thang and Mac Quoc Dong (Department of Information and Communications) won first prize.
In badminton, the Department of Information and Communications won all three events: men's team, mixed doubles and men's doubles.
With this result, the Department of Information and Communications won the championship cup of the Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association's Table Tennis and Badminton Tournament for the second consecutive year.
At this year's tournament, Hai Duong Newspaper sent 5 table tennis players to participate in all events: team, men's doubles and men's singles. The team won third place in team, third place in men's doubles. Player Le Tuan Anh won third place in men's singles from 18 to 45 years old; Tran Dinh Ha won second place in men's singles from 46 to 65 years old.
The Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association Table Tennis and Badminton Tournament is an annual tournament organized by the Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association. This year’s tournament attracted 42 athletes (an increase of 12 athletes) compared to the previous tournament. The athletes belong to the Journalists Association: Hai Duong Newspaper, Hai Duong Radio and Television Station, Department of Information and Communications and the Provincial Senior Journalists Club.
