The quality of the topics participating in the Award is increasingly improved, demonstrated by the students' good presentation of the topics participating in the Award in English. Many topics have been published in prestigious journals, have an open research direction, the topics in the final round have the potential to open up for transfer and application.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc highly appreciated and recognized the achievements of higher education institutions that organized and guided students to achieve excellent results in scientific research activities in 2023. Scientific research work at higher education institutions has had encouraging changes, the annual international publication rate has increased by 20-25%, technology transfer activities have gradually achieved remarkable results...

In addition to the achieved results, scientific research results have not yet met expectations, partly because the facilities and means for research have not met practical requirements. Implementing Resolution 29 and the Law on Higher Education amended and supplemented in 2018, newly issued legal documents will continue to be developed in the direction of enhancing the importance of scientific research activities in higher education institutions, including scientific research activities of students.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc assessed that the topics participating in the 2023 award focused on new research fields, issues raised in social life... showing that the potential of students in scientific research is very large. From the initial research results of students, in the future, talented scientists, administrators, and managers in all areas of social life will appear.

Up to now, the Science and Technology Awards for students in higher education institutions have truly become a large scientific playground for students; through the awards, many research ideas of students have contributed to the formation of startup ideas.
