At around 9:30 a.m. on April 14, a group of students from the Primary, Secondary and High School for Pedagogical Practice at Vinh University (Nghe An) were standing in the school yard when suddenly a piece of stainless steel railing from the 4th floor of the building fell straight down, injuring 3 female students who had to be hospitalized.
Immediately afterwards, the school took the students to the hospital for emergency treatment. One student was seriously injured and is being monitored for a head injury, while the other two suffered minor injuries.
Leaders of Vinh Primary, Secondary and High School for Pedagogical Practice and Vinh University were present at the scene, coordinated with functional forces to block off the area where the incident occurred, investigate the cause, and at the same time, inspect the entire railing system and school corridors.
