In 2025, Hai Duong will accelerate and break through with determination and high aspirations for development.

On the morning of January 17, the Standing Committee of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee held a meeting with former leaders and members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee of all periods on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and the Lunar New Year 2025.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, former member of the Politburo, former Chairwoman of the National Assembly, former Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee; Pham The Duyet, former member of the Standing Committee, Standing member of the Politburo, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Former Party Central Committee members: Nguyen Duc Kien, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, former Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee; Pham Van Tho, former Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, former Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee also attended.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang reviewed the glorious historical milestones of the Party, the nation and Hai Duong; and expressed deep gratitude for the great contributions of generations of leaders. The valuable experiences and contributions of comrades have created a solid foundation, a driving force, a great source of encouragement and support for the development of the province.

Reviewing the event of Uncle Ho's 5th visit to Hai Duong province on February 15, 1965 - the last visit before he passed away, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that Uncle Ho's heartfelt advice "must strive to develop Hai Duong province into a model province" has become a sacred command, an honor, pride, and at the same time a responsibility, a great motivation urging generations of cadres, party members and people of the province to constantly strive, strive to rise up, build the homeland to become increasingly rich, civilized, modern, worthy of his trust and expectations.

Promoting the achievements of 2023, from the beginning of 2024, the provincial Party Committee and government have resolutely implemented solutions for socio-economic development and Party and political system building; overcoming common difficulties in the world and domestic situation, especially the heavy damage caused by storm No. 3 (Yagi) in the province, Hai Duong has achieved outstanding and comprehensive results in 2024.

The comprehensive and outstanding achievements in 2024 are vivid proof of the will and aspiration to rise of the Party Committee, government and people of Hai Duong, which are nurtured and empowered by the revolutionary tradition, by the loving teachings of beloved Uncle Ho, and by the achievements of generations of leaders and people of the province through the ages.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that 2025 is the final year of implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, and at the same time, it is the year starting a new development path. The Party Committee, government and people of Hai Duong identified 2025 as a year of acceleration and breakthrough with determination and high aspirations for development.

With high political determination, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has identified a number of important goals and tasks, namely: GRDP growth strives to reach 12% compared to 2024. Budget revenue is 31,900 billion VND, of which domestic revenue is 28,000 billion VND. Attracting FDI capital of over 1 billion USD and attracting domestic investment of over 8,500 billion VND. The rate of trained workers is over 33% with an occupational structure that meets the requirements of the high-quality labor market.

Comprehensively improve the material and spiritual life of the people, build a healthy, progressive cultural environment imbued with the cultural identity of the Eastern region. Maintain political security, social order and safety, create a peaceful and stable environment for development. Build a clean and strong provincial Party Committee, improve leadership capacity and fighting strength, thereby building a strong political system that operates effectively and efficiently.

The Provincial Party Secretary said that immediately after the Politburo's Directive 35 on Party Congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress, the Central Committee, the Executive Committee, and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee issued directives, plans, and guidelines for Party Congresses at all levels. At the same time, subcommittees, operating regulations, and specific tasks were soon established for implementation. Up to now, the Provincial Party Executive Committee has listened to and commented on the documents, and the Document Subcommittee has received and completed the first draft of the Political Report to be submitted to the 18th Provincial Party Congress.

According to the current draft report, Hai Duong sets the goal: By 2030, it strives to become a modern industrial province, a dynamic industrial center of the Red River Delta, with a large-scale economy in the country; synchronous socio-economic infrastructure; a green, smart, modern, and unique urban system; achieving a number of basic criteria of a centrally-run city.

It is expected that in February 2025, the Provincial Party Standing Committee will send the full text of the political report to former provincial leaders of all periods to seek their comments after organizing a workshop and receiving comments from central departments, ministries and branches.

2025 is the final year of implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, and at the same time, it is the starting year for a new development stage of the province, together with the whole country preparing to enter the era of national development and prosperity. With the spirit of "Solidarity - Innovation - Development", the 17th Provincial Party Executive Committee will be determined to successfully carry out the assigned tasks, creating a solid foundation for the aspiration to develop Hai Duong province in the future.

At the meeting, a number of former provincial leaders expressed their excitement with the outstanding, comprehensive, and breakthrough results achieved by the province in 2024 and hoped that the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee would continue to lead, direct, and organize the successful implementation of tasks, achieve the set goals, and build Hai Duong homeland to develop more and more.
