At Hai Duong Medical Technical University, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang expressed his pride that the province is one of the few localities in the country with a university of the Ministry of Health located in the area. In addition to its training mission, the school also has a hospital to meet the requirements of medical practice and provide medical examination and treatment for people in the province.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang affirmed that Hai Duong Medical Technical University has made remarkable progress in recent times. In particular, in 2024, Hai Duong Medical College merged into Hai Duong Medical Technical University. The Provincial Party Committee Secretary thanked the school for its attention and support during the merger process. After the merger, there were no disruptions in the teaching staff and students of Hai Duong Medical College.
Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang informed that in recent years, Hai Duong has paid great attention to the health sector. The province has invested more than 3,000 billion VND to upgrade infrastructure and medical equipment. At the beginning of 2025, the province added more than 1,000 billion VND to purchase medical equipment and machinery to facilitate the leadership team and medical staff in their professional work as well as better meet the people's needs for medical examination and treatment.
In the period of 2026 - 2030, the province plans to allocate at least 2,500 billion VND for the health sector with the goal of not having people go outside the province for medical treatment. The province will make the best investment in health care from the grassroots to the provincial level, ensuring that the medical staff is sufficient in number and skilled in expertise, helping people feel secure and confident. "The province is committed to providing all possible support for Hai Duong University of Medical Technology to develop even more strongly," emphasized Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang.
At Thanh Ha District Medical Center, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang sent best wishes to the leaders, civil servants, public employees and workers at the center on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day. Thanh Ha District Medical Center has made many contributions to protecting and taking care of the health of the people in the district.
Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang affirmed that the provincial Party Committee and authorities always pay attention to the quality of social security, especially health care. Therefore, Thanh Ha District Medical Center needs to focus on sending staff for training, improving professional qualifications, and moving towards building a high-quality medical examination and treatment center.
Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang assigned the Department of Health to continue reviewing recommendations and proposals from district-level medical centers and report to provincial leaders for timely resolution and handling, especially issues related to facilities and infrastructure.
Hai Duong Medical Technical University was established in 2007, formerly known as Hai Duong Medical School. This is one of 11 higher education institutions under the Ministry of Health, training in medicine, nursing, undergraduate and postgraduate medical technology. The school trains in medical codes, medical testing, rehabilitation, medical imaging, nursing... After merging with Hai Duong Medical College, Hai Duong Medical Technical University currently has more than 400 staff, lecturers and employees.
Thanh Ha District Medical Center was established on the basis of merging the District General Hospital, the District Medical Center and the District Population - Family Planning Center in 2018. The Center has 16 commune-level health stations under its management; 419 medical staff, including 75 doctors. At the grassroots level, 100% of health stations have doctors working.
