Hai Duong Provincial Police commend and reward typical examples in responding to storm No. 3

On the morning of September 20, Hai Duong Provincial Police held a conference to commend and reward advanced models in responding to storm No. 3; dialogue with commune-level police officers and soldiers, forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level; and launch a special emulation movement to celebrate major holidays in 2025.

The conference was held directly at the Hai Duong Provincial Police Hall, connecting online to district-level police bridges.

Before the conference, delegates observed a minute of silence for the victims of storm No. 3.

Comrade Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province attended the conference.

With outstanding achievements in responding to and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 in Hai Duong province, 2 groups and 6 individuals of the Hai Duong Provincial Police force were awarded certificates of merit by the Ministry of Public Security. The Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 4 groups and 12 individuals. 44 groups and 113 individuals of the regular provincial police force and 22 individuals of the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level were awarded certificates of merit by the Director of the Hai Duong Provincial Police.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the leaders of Hai Duong province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau acknowledged and commended the efforts of all officers and soldiers of the provincial police force in ensuring security and order, especially in preventing and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 and floods after the storm. The important contributions of the police force were highly appreciated by the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, local Party committees, authorities and people, affirming the trust in the armed forces in the province.

Comrade Le Ngoc Chau warmly commended nearly 3,000 officers and soldiers of the Hai Duong Provincial Police force who, regardless of day or night, faced difficulties and hardships, worked with the people to prevent storms and floods and overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

In particular, district and commune-level police officers and soldiers, along with over 4,000 members of the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level, have stayed close to the grassroots and the people, promptly coordinated to detect and quickly handle incidents, ensuring safety for the dike system; actively mobilized and promptly evacuated more than 4,600 households with over 9,000 people from vulnerable and dangerous areas; helped people reinforce nearly 3,000 houses and infrastructure; verified and handled 42 cases of spreading false news, causing public confusion about the storm and flood situation, and were ready to accept all tasks and promptly be present in the most difficult and dangerous places.

In the coming time, in the face of natural disasters, storms, floods, climate change and the security and order situation in the province, the post-disaster crime situation is still latent and complicated, comrade Le Ngoc Chau requested the Hai Duong Provincial Police force to continue to promote the results and achievements, promote the proactive and core role, closely coordinate with the people's army and functional forces to synchronously and drastically deploy solutions to respond to natural disasters, protect security and order, protect the lives and property of the State, people and businesses.

In the immediate future, focus on supporting people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods, quickly stabilize their lives, and ensure security and order for a peaceful and happy life for the people.

Speaking to receive the direction of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau, Director of the Provincial Police Department Bui Quang Binh affirmed that the Hai Duong Provincial Police force will continue to make efforts, promote and improve the role of the people's police force.
