On March 7, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that these two gambling clubs were led by Khuong Loi (30 years old) and Luu Kien Co (50 years old, both Chinese nationals). These two people then colluded with Vietnamese people to operate them.

After the reconnaissance process, on the afternoon of March 6, Lao Cai Provincial Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) to raid the Bridge and Poker Khai Hoang club on the 2nd floor of the Royal Lao Cai Hotel, Duyen Hai Ward, Lao Cai City.

At the scene, the police controlled and arrested 97 suspects, including 69 Chinese nationals. These people were organizing gambling in the form of playing Niu Niu, San Cung 3-card game, Baccarat, and Dragon Tiger.

At the scene, police seized a large amount of Chinese currency and chips, equivalent to about 720 billion VND; along with 50 decks of cards, 30 computers, 12 monitors, 90 mobile phones and many other means of criminal activity.

The rules of the game at Khai Hoang Bridge and Poker Club are that guests will exchange chips for cash in Chinese Yuan (Chinese currency); each chip is worth 1 Yuan (about 3,540 VND).

Currently, Lao Cai Provincial Police continue to exploit information data and expand the investigation to clarify the violation.
