The man broke into a resident's house in Binh Phuoc, then raped a 10-year-old girl, robbed her, and fled.
The Investigation Police Agency of Hon Quan District Police, Binh Phuoc Province, said that they have just arrested Nguyen An Binh (48 years old, residing in Binh Long Town, Binh Phuoc Province) to investigate the acts of child rape and robbery.
According to initial investigation, on the evening of June 13, Nguyen An Binh and his accomplices rode motorbikes around the streets with the aim of stealing people's property.
In the early morning of June 14, Binh discovered a house located in a rubber plantation in Minh Tam commune, Hon Quan district, so he approached inside.
When entering the house, seeing D.NV (born in 2014) sleeping with her younger sibling, Binh used a knife to control and rape the girl. After that, Binh stole a phone and a motorbike left in the victim’s house and escaped.
Through investigation, the police arrested Binh while he was hiding in Minh Hung ward, Chon Thanh town, Binh Phuoc province.
According to police records, Nguyen An Binh has 8 previous convictions for theft and abuse of trust.
