Defendant Doan Thanh Trung took a 12-year-old girl to a motel in Mang Thit district (Vinh Long) to commit rape.
On September 16, the police investigation agency of Mang Thit district (Vinh Long) announced that it had just prosecuted and issued an arrest warrant for Doan Thanh Trung (32 years old, residing in Phu Huu commune, Chau Thanh district, Dong Thap province) to investigate the act of "Raping a person under 16 years old".
According to initial investigation results, earlier this year, defendant Trung met a 12-year-old girl (living in Mang Thit district) through social media, and the two fell in love.
Last July, the defendant Trung arranged to meet the girl in My Phuoc commune, Mang Thit district. Afterwards, Trung took his “young lover” to a motel in the commune to commit rape. The girl’s family discovered the incident and reported it to the police.
At the police station, the defendant Trung admitted all his crimes.
