Gia Lai Provincial Police have just prosecuted and temporarily detained 3 people including: 1 Deputy Director, 1 former Deputy Director and 1 former officer of Inspection Center 81-03D (Pleiku City) to investigate the acts of receiving and giving bribes.

On July 10, the Investigation Police Agency, Gia Lai Provincial Police executed an order to prosecute, temporarily detain, and search the residence and workplace of Vu Van Tien (31 years old, Deputy Director, residing at 102 Le Van Tam, Phu Dong Ward, Pleiku City), Do Van Xuan (42 years old, former Deputy Director, residing at 16/230 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Chi Lang Ward, Pleiku City) and Phan Van Hung (43 years old, former inspector, residing at 30 Nguyen Tat Thanh, Tan An Ward, Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province) of Inspection Center 81-03D to investigate the act of "receiving bribes".

Along with that, the Investigation Police Agency, Gia Lai Provincial Police, has issued an order to prosecute the accused and prohibit leaving the place of residence for Nguyen Ngoc Phuoc (33 years old, residing at 238 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Group 4, Chi Lang Ward, Pleiku City, Gia Lai Province), a car dealer, for the act of "giving bribes".
According to the initial investigation results, from 2021-2022, during the process of motor vehicle inspection, the defendants Tien, Xuan and Hung received money from Mr. Phuoc and many individuals to legalize the acceptance records of technical safety quality and environmental protection of motor vehicles that had been modified in violation of the law.
Previously, at the 81-05D Vehicle Inspection Center (Dien Phu Commune, Pleiku City), the Investigation Police Agency, Gia Lai Provincial Police also prosecuted and temporarily detained Tran Minh Luong (53 years old, Director) and Le Dinh Vuong (41 years old, Deputy Director of the 81-05D Vehicle Inspection Center) to investigate the act of "receiving bribes". These defendants also accepted bribes to accept the technical safety and environmental protection quality of motor vehicles in violation of the law.
