Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade and Banking Academy are expected to announce their admission scores on August 17.
According to school admissions representatives, this is the time to end the processing of admission requests on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training (virtual filtering).
This process has been going on since August 12, a total of 6 times. In each virtual filtering, based on the scores and expected admission lists of the schools, the system will eliminate candidates who have passed their higher wishes to other schools. The schools then adjust the benchmark scores and candidate lists to match the quota, then upload them to the system for further filtering.
The final virtual screening is completed at 4:00 p.m. on August 17. At the latest one hour later, universities will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system, review them, and prepare to announce the results. Each candidate will only be admitted to one of their highest wishes.
The Ministry of Education and Training requires schools to announce benchmark scores no later than 5 p.m. on August 19. Every year, most schools announce results a few hours before this time.
In addition to Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, and Banking Academy, Hanoi Open University is also expected to announce admission results on August 17 or 18. Many other schools such as Hanoi University of Industry, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, etc. said they may postpone the announcement until August 19.
This year, about 733,000 out of more than 1.07 million high school graduation candidates registered their university applications on the ministry's admission system. With the graduation exam score review method, many schools predict that the benchmark scores will increase compared to last year, especially in the C00 group (literature, history, geography).
Last year, out of more than 660,000 candidates participating in the university entrance exam, 610,000 passed the first round, reaching a rate of nearly 93%.
