A representative of the National Economics University said that the admission scores for many majors of the school in 2024 may increase compared to last year.
Dr. Le Anh Duc, Deputy Head of the Training Management Department of the National Economics University, said that this year, the school will recruit about 7,000 students, of which 18% will be considered entirely based on high school graduation exam scores, a decrease of 7% compared to 2023.
According to Mr. Duc, through analysis of the 2024 high school graduation exam scores, the average scores of subjects in the school's main admission groups such as Math, Literature, English, and Physics increased from 0.06 to 1.04 compared to last year.
Therefore, Mr. Duc predicts that the benchmark scores of the school's majors will also increase following the general trend. According to Mr. Duc, the benchmark scores of the top majors may increase slightly, about 0.25 points. For the middle majors, the benchmark scores may increase more, from 0.5 to 0.75 points.
For new majors (including Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Security, Information Systems), Mr. Duc predicts that the benchmark score will also be above 26, because they are all popular majors, suitable for market trends.
Mr. Duc also said that up to this point, the school has announced the results of the combined admission and early admission in 2024. "It can be seen that compared to 2023, this year the standard score for admission is higher in all groups. Specifically, Group 1 (admission for candidates with SAT, ACT certificates), the industry with the lowest admission score is 24.38 (while in 2023 it was 22 points).
Group 2 (admission based on the scores of the Competency Assessment and Thinking Assessment; combined with the international English certificate), the industry with the lowest admission score is 19.33 (while in 2023 it was 18 points). Group 3 (combining the international English certificate and the 2024 high school graduation exam scores), the industry with the lowest admission score is 24.5 (while in 2023 it was 24.36 points)," said Mr. Duc.
In addition, the threshold to ensure input quality for admission based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores to the National Economics University is also up to 22 points (2 points higher than in 2023).
In 2023, the benchmark score of the National Economics University ranges from 26.1 to 37.1. Of which, on a scale of 40, the benchmark scores for each major range from 35.65 to 37.1. Marketing Communications has the highest score of 37.1. With this level, on average, each subject candidate must achieve more than 9.27 points to be admitted.
On a 30-point scale, the E-commerce industry has the highest benchmark score of 27.65 points, with candidates having to score more than 9.21 points on average. Some other industries also have benchmark scores above 27, such as Marketing, Public Relations, Finance - Banking, Auditing, Accounting...
