A woman in Thanh Ha was fined for posting false information and insulting authorities on social media.

Thanh Ha District Police have just decided to fine Ms. Dang Thi Thuy (born in 1985, in Mac Thu 2 village, Lien Mac commune) 7.5 million VND for providing false information, slander, insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, honor and dignity of individuals on social networks.

On July 11, Ms. Dang Thi Thuy encroached on the road in front of the People's Committee of Lien Mac Commune to sell goods, despite being reminded many times by the authorities. The working group of the Traffic Safety Committee of the commune made a record, temporarily seized the illegal goods and brought them to the People's Committee of the commune and invited Ms. Thuy to work. However, Ms. Thuy did not comply, continuously resisted, recorded videos and posted them on her personal Facebook page "Thuy Ngoc", and at the same time cursed and distorted the actions of the People's Committee of the commune and the working group.

At 4:40 p.m. the same day, Ms. Thuy continued to broadcast the video with the title: "Police and Vice Chairman of Lien Mac Commune robbed people's belongings..." for 19 minutes and 48 seconds with content cursing, slandering, and insulting the honor and reputation of the Commune People's Committee and a number of individuals working in the commune.
