Consider implementing the Hai Duong General Hospital Cluster Project with an investment of about 2,200 billion VND

On the afternoon of June 4, Comrade Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province chaired the first meeting of the Provincial People's Committee in June to review and resolve the contents and proposals reported and proposed by a number of departments, branches and localities.

At the meeting, Hai Duong City People's Committee proposed a plan to call for investment in the Hai Duong General Hospital Cluster Project at the headquarters of the Youth, Workers and Young Laborers Support Center (Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union) on Nguyen Luong Bang Street. This area has been adjusted from agency land to medical land. The land area used is more than 1.9 hectares. The expected construction scale is 3 blocks including 1 21-storey general hospital block and 2 18-storey maternity and pediatric blocks (no basement) with more than 1,250 hospital beds. The preliminary investment cost of the project is about 2,200 billion VND.

Based on the investment necessity, legal basis and compliance with related planning, the Department of Planning and Investment recommends that the Provincial People's Committee agree with the proposal of Hai Duong City to select an investor to build the Hai Duong General Hospital Cluster Project by auctioning land use rights and assets.

Emphasizing that healthcare is a priority area for the province to attract investment, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant agencies and units to organize specialized meetings and consult on optimal solutions to select investors. At the same time, assess and forecast the demand for healthcare services, especially high-quality healthcare, to build and propose investment policies for the project. The Department of Construction guided Hai Duong City to establish a detailed 1/500 plan to serve the implementation of the next steps.

Currently, there are assets of the Central Youth Union on this land, so it is necessary to consider asking for opinions from higher levels when implementing.
