On April 16, a delegation from the Central ENT Hospital visited, worked, and agreed to transfer two important techniques to Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital.
At the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Tuan Canh, Director of the Central ENT Hospital agreed to transfer two leading specialized techniques to Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital: middle ear plastic surgery and audiometry.
The hospital will send leading, experienced doctors to guide and provide in-depth training in these two techniques for doctors at the Provincial General Hospital. It is recommended that the hospital have a specific roadmap, completing the investment in purchasing additional modern equipment by the third or fourth quarter of this year at the latest, to facilitate the transfer of techniques, contributing to effective treatment for patients.
Dr. Vu Van Hiep, Acting Director of Hai Duong General Hospital, said that in recent years, the number of patients with diseases related to the ear, nose and throat has increased. The rate of patients with indications for middle ear plastic surgery is high. Therefore, expanding the scope of specialized activities and improving the qualifications and surgical skills of doctors in the ENT Department is one of the important tasks that the unit has identified to carry out this year.
The program to transfer the above two techniques is also part of the comprehensive cooperation program that the Central ENT Hospital and Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital previously signed.
Hai Duong General Hospital has signed comprehensive cooperation agreements with 3 central hospitals, including: Tropical Diseases, Viet Duc and ENT. In the near future, the hospital will continue to sign comprehensive cooperation agreements with 3 other central hospitals, including: Central Military Hospital 108, National Children's Hospital and Bach Mai. The hospital will invest in more modern equipment and machinery to better meet the needs of people's health care.
The ENT Department of Hai Duong General Hospital currently has 19 staff, 10 specialized rooms, and 20 beds. In 2023, this department examined 19,500 outpatients, treated 1,260 inpatients, and performed 720 surgeries...
