Lao Cai Number Application on Zalo - Bringing the government closer to the people

On the afternoon of October 6, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee officially launched the Lao Cai Number application on the Zalo mini app social network platform and trial experience.

With features such as feedback - reflection, file lookup, work scheduling, information instructions..., now, with just a smartphone with Zalo application installed, Lao Cai people will be able to access online public services easily and conveniently.

Director of Lao Cai Department of Information and Communications Vu Hung Dung said that with the viewpoint "wherever the people are, the government is there", based on the more than 400,000 Lao Cai people using Zalo, this application will provide another friendly interaction channel between the people and the government.

Thereby, helping the communication method between people, businesses with officials, civil servants and government agencies become more convenient, friendly, transparent, less costly and more effective; contributing to bringing the government closer to the people.

Lao Cai Number application is researched, built and developed by the Department of Information and Communications in collaboration with VNPT Lao Cai, Zalo mini app management department of VNG Corporation. This is a "small program" running in Zalo's ecosystem; it can use Zalo's existing features as well as the application's advantage of a large number of users.

Lao Cai So App is designed as a compact Web application (less than 10MB) running on Super App (Zalo application), so it has many outstanding advantages such as: No installation required; brings better performance and experience; takes advantage of the available features of the Zalo platform; more reliable content because the application has been authenticated by Zalo; reaches a large number of users, can be distributed to users through many different channels based on the Zalo platform.

Lao Cai Number application has the following features: Scan QR code, helping users to search for profile information, news...; monitor the current weather situation in the entire Lao Cai province in real time; monitor power outage schedule; read newspapers; help users enter and submit administrative procedure records; look up record results by administrative procedure settlement record code; send feedback, and monitor feedback results after sending...

In recent times, Lao Cai has always paid attention to leading and directing the promotion of the application and development of information technology in the activities of agencies and organizations, serving people and businesses in the province, effectively exploiting information technology achievements in socio-economic development.
