According to information from Hanoi National University of Education, the independent exam to assess capacity in 2023 for admission to full-time university will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Registration time is from February 20 to April 9, 2023.
The organization of the exam aims to diversify the admission methods, increase the chances of admission and better classify the candidates' abilities to select suitable students to study a number of majors and groups of majors at the regular university level. In addition, providing exam results for universities to use as a basis at different levels for considering regular university admission, contributing to reducing pressure on candidates and reducing costs from the state budget and social costs for many entrance exams.
Candidates can choose to register for the exam at one of two exam locations: Hanoi National University of Education and Quy Nhon University. The school notes that candidates need to carefully research the admission methods and conditions for 2023 of the university they wish to apply to and choose 2, 3 or 4 exams to take.
Candidates register for the exam online on the Hanoi National University of Education's Competency Assessment Test Registration System. Each candidate has 1 account to access the System to declare, edit information, and upload evidence. Candidates also use this account to look up exam results, register for review, and look up review results (if any).
Candidates can choose to register for some exams in the following subjects: Math, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography and use the exam results to register for admission to regular university training programs according to the requirements of each university. The exam fee is 160,000 VND/subject.
The content of the tests corresponds to and is consistent with the content of high school subjects and exams that students are familiar with; candidates take the test directly on paper.
The test combines multiple-choice and essay questions with appropriate score ratios depending on the test, including questions assessing the level of understanding of core knowledge, reasoning, analysis, evaluation, problem solving and creativity. The test is compiled from the source question set, closely following the test matrix and consistent with the content and implementation guidelines of the general education program of the Ministry of Education and Training, including essay and multiple-choice questions (4 options, of which 1 is correct).
It is expected that before June 1, Hanoi National University of Education will announce the exam results. Candidates can look up the results on the school's information portal.
Candidates are granted a certificate of exam results from Hanoi National University of Education (directly or by post). Then, they submit the certificate to the university that uses the results of the Hanoi National University of Education's competency assessment test for admission.
Up to now, besides Hanoi National University of Education, universities that recognize and use the results of this competency assessment test for admission to full-time universities include: Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Hue University of Education, Da Nang University of Education, Thai Nguyen University of Education, Vinh University and Quy Nhon University.
