More than 1,000 candidates take the aptitude test to compete for admission to CMC University

The first round of the competency assessment exam took place at 3 schools: Cau Giay High School, Phuc Loi High School and CMC University main campus. The school recorded nearly 1,500 candidates registered, of which more than 1,000 came to take the exam. In addition to the candidates present in person, the school also organized an online exam for candidates in provinces and cities outside of Hanoi.

CMC Test is organized in the form of multiple choice on computer, with a total test time of 90 minutes. The test consists of 3 parts: mathematics (30 questions), logical thinking (20 questions) and English (30 questions).

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Vice Principal of CMC University, said that the results of the CMC Test are used to select suitable candidates for admission to the school. However, to be officially recognized as admitted, candidates need to register their wishes to the school on the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training within the prescribed time.

To prepare for the competency assessment exam, CMC University established an examination council with the participation of the board of directors and leading associate professors and doctors in the exam preparation work, to ensure the quality of the exam is fair and reflects the candidates' abilities. Among them are Professor, Doctor Le Anh Vinh, Director of the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences, Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Viet Dung, Head of the General Department, CMC University.

The examination board with leading experts to ensure the quality of the questions, helping to improve the quality and practicality of the questions in the CMC Test. The exam's goal is not only to assess theoretical knowledge but also to test the candidates' logical thinking and critical thinking.

According to the plan, the school will organize a total of 5 competency assessment exams lasting until the end of May 2025, with an expected registration of 10,000 candidates and participation of 8,000 candidates.

In order to encourage candidates to participate in the exam as well as create conditions for students to study and research in a technological environment, the school gives laptops to all candidates taking the aptitude test and enrolling in the school in 2025.

In addition, the school also announced the "CMC - Because you deserve it" scholarship fund worth 96 billion VND with 300 scholarships reducing from 30% - 100% of the full course tuition fee.

This year, CMC University enrolls 1,510 students in 15 majors and training programs based on 4 admission methods, including: Competency assessment test results (CMC-TEST); review of academic records; high school exam scores and direct admission. With the support of CMC Technology Group, the school also commits to ensuring employment for 100% of graduates with a GPA of 3.2 or higher at CMC, Samsung and domestic and international partners.
