Toyota Vietnam officially announced the implementation of a recall program to replace the hood on the Alphard model.
The recall program will be officially implemented by Toyota Vietnam from March 7, 2025 at all Toyota warranty maintenance facilities nationwide. The list and number of affected Alphard vehicles in Vietnam include 10 vehicles manufactured from November 2, 2020 to November 21, 2020.
Affected vehicles equipped with front hood covers may deform during use due to temperature changes. This may result in cracking and loosening when repeated pressure is applied to the hood cover mounting area. If continued use in this condition, the hood cover may fall off the vehicle and obstruct other vehicles from participating in traffic.
Customers with affected vehicles will receive a notification from Toyota Service Centers inviting them to bring their vehicles in for inspection. Based on the inspection results, the customer's vehicle will have a new hood replacement. The estimated inspection and repair time is approximately 0.4 hours per vehicle.
Toyota Vietnam recommends that customers who own vehicles affected by the above program quickly bring their vehicles to Toyota warranty and maintenance facilities nationwide for inspection and replacement completely free of charge. To save waiting time, customers can proactively contact Toyota Warranty and Maintenance Facilities to make an appointment before bringing their vehicles in for inspection.
