Hideki Matsuyama Edition luxury SUV celebrates 10 years of Japanese golfer's victory.
Japanese luxury car brand Lexus launched a special version of the LX 700h Hideki Edition for the domestic market. The LX 700h Hideki Edition is a limited edition of 10 cars to honor the professional golfer, commemorating Matsuyama's 10th victory on the US Tour.
The limited edition LX is painted in a special Manganese Luster color chosen by golfer Matsuyama himself. It is equipped with 22-inch black alloy wheels. The interior has white leather seats decorated with yellow stitching and uses many Black Ash wood details. The saddle has a special edition plaque bearing Matsuyama's signature.
Other features include a Mark Levinson premium audio system and rear-seat entertainment screens. The cargo area is highlighted by a golf bag, a replica of the one Matsuyama used in his historic victory.
The LX 700h Hideki Edition is based on the standard LX 700h. The car is equipped with a hybrid powertrain, including a 3.5 V6 gasoline engine combined with an electric motor, producing 457 horsepower and 790 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to all 4 wheels and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The special LX 700h Hideki Edition is sold in Japan for $114,900, $7,400 more expensive than the standard version and $27,100 cheaper than the high-end Executive version priced at $142,000.
The LX 700h Hideki Edition is sold through a lottery system in the domestic market. Orders are accepted from March 6 to March 20 and deliveries are scheduled for May.
