Currently, textbooks of Vietnam Education Publishing House are fully available at stores in the unit's system in Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho; at stores of Book - School Equipment Companies in provinces and cities across the country.
Vietnam Education Publishing House has directed its member units to fully sell textbooks.
According to a representative of the Vietnam Education Publishing House, as of July 31, 2023, the unit has completed printing and warehousing 100% of the planned output for textbooks for grades 5, 9, and 12 (according to the 2000 Program), equivalent to 24.7 million copies.
With the 2018 program, textbooks for grades 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 10 have completed printing and warehousing 99% of the plan, equivalent to 82.5 million copies; textbooks for grades 4, 8, and 11 have completed printing and warehousing 85% of the plan, equivalent to 43.8 million copies.
This year, textbooks according to the new general education program for grades 4, 8 and 11 have begun to be deployed. To ensure enough textbooks to serve the 2023-2024 school year in time, the Vietnam Education Publishing House has closely followed and grasped information from localities to develop a tentative plan to organize early printing, and at the same time continuously updated information to adjust and supplement, ensuring adequate supply according to local needs.
To meet local market demand, the Vietnam Education Publishing House has directed book publishing companies to strengthen their retail systems, online sales, and phone sales. Member units have fully displayed textbooks and increased sales hours to create better conditions for customers to buy books.
In early 2023, a representative of the Vietnam Education Publishing House said that hundreds of thousands of counterfeit textbooks were discovered, illegally printed with a total cost of up to billions of VND in many areas in the South. The Vietnam Education Publishing House has received a lot of information and feedback from consumers (parents/students/teachers) about mistakenly buying counterfeit/pirated books, resulting in the inability to activate e-books.
To minimize the purchase of fake books, pirated books, and poor quality books, parents and students in the province/city should refer to ordering books at the school - educational institution where their children are studying or choose textbook publishing units under the Vietnam Education Publishing House such as the Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, the local School Equipment and Books Company and the FAHASA Bookstore System nationwide.
Each book of Vietnam Education Publishing House will be given a unique identification code. Parents and students can lightly scratch the silver layer on the stamp and scan the QR code to verify the origin of the product before using it.
If there are any problems in the process of purchasing textbooks, parents and students can call the hotline of Vietnam Education Publishing House (phone number 0344181018) for support. |
