The facelifted version of the Porsche 911 GT3 will be available for order later this year, with deliveries expected to begin in mid-2025 at the earliest.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the iconic GT3, Porsche has just unveiled a new version of the 911 GT3 for 2025. This is a facelift version of the Porsche 911 GT3 and Porsche 911 GT3 Touring of the 992.2 generation.
Although Porsche has developed a hybrid powertrain for the new 911 line launched in May, the GT3 remains loyal to the internal combustion engine. Specifically, the car is still equipped with a 4.0L naturally aspirated 6-cylinder boxer engine, producing a maximum capacity of 510 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.
To meet strict environmental regulations, the 911 GT3 engine is equipped with two exhaust gas filters and four catalytic converters. It also features upgraded camshafts from the GT3 RS, a new throttle body, an improved oil cooling system and a retuned cylinder head for increased performance.
Porsche still offers the option of a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, with the manual version now featuring shorter gear ratios.
The 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, before reaching a maximum speed of 311 km/h. These parameters on the manual version are 3.9 seconds and 313 km/h respectively.
The new GT3's front suspension also inherits some technology from the GT3 RS, combined with aerodynamically designed suspension links, which increase downforce at the front axle and improve brake cooling. The lower wishbone front link is also installed lower, reducing the phenomenon of sinking under braking.
In terms of exterior, the 911 GT3 has a sharper front end with air intakes and underbody spoiler, optimizing aerodynamics similar to the 2025 911 Carrera facelift.
The 911's new headlights allow for larger front air intakes. Porsche has also tweaked the diffuser, engine cover and air intakes to optimise aerodynamics. Similar to the front, the rear diffuser, air intakes and air outlets have also been upgraded.
The rear spoiler cluster still uses the "Swan Neck" design, but the shape of the side deflectors has been adjusted.
Another notable upgrade is the new set of tires measuring 255/35ZR20 at the front and 315/30ZR21 at the rear, which help improve grip in the rain.
For the first time, the Porsche 911 GT3 is offered with the Weissach package, which reduces the weight of the car, including many carbon details such as the roof, anti-roll bars, load-bearing panels, mirror covers and dedicated sports seats with 6-point seat belts. Previously, this option was only available on high-performance models such as the 918 Spyder, 911 GT2 RS and 911 GT3 RS.
The package also includes magnesium alloy wheels with a California Gold finish, which are 9kg lighter than the standard equipment. Porsche says the new GT3 tips the scales at around 1,419kg, which is quite low for a modern high-performance car.
The GT3 Touring trims down the sporty elements for a more elegant look. It comes with the optional Leichtbau package, which includes a carbon fiber suspension, a body-colored carbon fiber roof, magnesium wheels, and a shorter gear lever from the 911 S/T.
Inside the cockpit of the new GT3 is still a 2-seat configuration, but upgraded with a rotary start button instead of a push button like on the 911 Carrera. Next to it is a digital dashboard with a unique "Track Screen" interface.
The car is equipped with newly designed carbon fiber sports seats with folding backrests and optional heating. In particular, the GT3 Touring version offers the option of rear seats for the first time, something that has never appeared on previous GT3 models.
According to the announcement, the starting price of the Porsche 911 GT3 2025 will be from 224,495 USD (about 5.65 billion VND), excluding options such as the Weissach package. This figure is significantly higher than the 171,500 USD (about 4.31 billion VND) of the 2023 version.
