Lexus IS 2025 special edition priced from 38,000 USD

Japanese luxury brand Lexus has introduced a new special edition for the 2025 IS in its domestic market, called the F Sport Mode Black IV. According to Lexus, this is the fourth version of the F Sport Mode Black line and will be available on the IS 300 and IS 300h.

The F Sport Mode Black special edition is distinguished from the standard IS by its alloy wheels manufactured by BBS. These wheels are painted black, accompanied by some black exterior trim details such as mirror covers, window frames and smoked details applied to the chrome plating.

The interior of the special edition uses Ash wood inserts on the door panels and steering wheel. The gearshift knob is wrapped in genuine leather. The sport seats are covered in Ultrasuede leather, integrated heating and ventilation. The 8-inch digital instrument cluster has a new welcome interface. Lexus adds rear side airbags and a panoramic view monitor as standard equipment.

The engine on the special versions remains unchanged. The IS 300 F Sport Mode Black IV retains the 2.0 turbocharged gasoline engine with 241 horsepower and 350 Nm of maximum torque. 8-speed Sport Direct Shift automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive.

IS 300h F Sport Mode Black IV is equipped with a 2.5 naturally aspirated gasoline engine, 176 horsepower, maximum torque of 221 Nm, combined with an electric motor with a capacity of 141 horsepower, torque of 300 Nm. e-CVT transmission.

The 2025 IS line gets a slight facelift, like the IS 500, adding the option of genuine leather upholstery in black, white or red. The high-performance variant gets black exterior mirrors and more smoked exterior details. The IS 300h is equipped with an external power outlet (AC 100, 1,500 W) for external accessories.

IS 500 2025 is equipped with a 5.0 V8 engine with a capacity of 475 horsepower, maximum torque of 535 Nm. 8-speed automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive.

The special F Sport Mode Black IV editions of the Lexus IS 300 and IS 300h are priced at $38,200 and $41,000 respectively in Japan.

Meanwhile, in the Vietnamese market, Lexus IS has not had a new version since the beginning of 2024. On the company's website, information about Lexus IS is no longer available. A representative of Lexus Vietnam confirmed the information about stopping selling IS but did not specify the specific reason.

Some Lexus sales staff said that IS has low sales. The preference of users for high-chassis cars makes the company want to focus on promoting key models such as RX and NX.
