The Ambassador said that this is a valuable book and was very pleased that the Italian translation was launched to widely introduce to Italian readers to deeply understand the path Vietnam has chosen and achieved great development achievements as recently, thereby contributing to strengthening the good friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries.

Regarding the process of preparing and completing the book, Mr. Stefano Bonilauri, Director of Anteo Edizioni Publishing House, said that despite many difficulties, Anteo Edizioni Publishing House was determined to complete the translation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's book into Italian because the book offers a unique, direct perspective of one of the leading "architects" for reforms in Vietnam.

The book's content allows readers to simply understand the details of socialism and Vietnam's journey to socialism, analyzes the nature of capitalism and describes an ideal socialist society, placing human development, social justice and harmony with nature as the main goals.

Analyzing the nature of capitalism from a historical materialist perspective and evaluating objects and phenomena in objective relationships with continuous change and development from many different perspectives, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong determined that a society that humanity is seeking - with fundamental values of good and sustainability - is a society in which development truly serves people; economic development should go hand in hand with social progress and equity; society must be full of compassion and solidarity and through mutual assistance, move towards progressive and humane values; sustainable development must be in harmony with nature to ensure a clean and healthy living environment for present and future generations; and a political system in which real power belongs to the people, from the people and for the benefit of the people.

Mr. Stefano Bonilauri, Director of Anteo Edizioni Publishing House, answered an interview with VNA reporter.

From a theoretical perspective, in the article "Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam", General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong gradually answers some basic questions to clearly understand the foundation of Vietnamese socialism: What is socialism? Why did Vietnam choose the path of socialism? How and in what way was socialism gradually built in Vietnam?

Therefore, according to Mr. Bonilauri, this book is important not only for those studying Vietnam, but also for anyone interested in modern variations of socialism and their application in the real world. The translation into Italian provides an opportunity for Italian readers to directly access these valuable reflections, facilitating a deeper and more informed discussion about the future of socialism. One of the goals of this book is to provide an unbiased view of the successes achieved by Vietnam in nearly 40 years of economic reforms under the leadership of the Communist Party.

Speaking to VNA reporters, Director Stefano Bonilauri affirmed: "Antoo Edizioni Publishing House is very proud to have published the Italian translation of "Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam", a collection of speeches and articles by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, covering many domestic and international political topics. He emphasized that this book is the foundation for understanding the political and social development process of contemporary Vietnam, marking an important milestone in political theory publications.

The publication of this book in Italy reflects a global trend, in which the debate on socialism at the international level is more vibrant than ever. Although many in the West considered socialism "dead" at the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union, in fact, other countries such as Vietnam are demonstrating that socialism is not only still alive, but also the most appropriate way to face the challenges posed by the 21st century. In an era of growing inequality and new global challenges, the experience and reflections of Vietnam can provide valuable insights for other countries. This book is not only a historical testimony but also a compass for the future that Anteo Edizioni is proud to bring to Italian readers."

Ms. Le Thi Bich Huong, General Secretary of the Union of Presidents of Vietnamese Associations in Italy, lecturer of the Department of Vietnamese Language at Ca Foscari University, shared: “I am very honored to attend the launch of the book by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong translated into Italian. The launch left me with a strong impression with the participation of many readers, speakers and representatives of many parties in Italy. The person introducing this book proved to have done very in-depth research and introduced it very impressively.

As a lecturer of Vietnamese language practice at the Department of Vietnamese Language, Ca Foscari University, I will introduce this book to students, so that they can understand the socialist path of Vietnam in the nearly 40 years since the Doi Moi policy. Not only for Italian students studying Vietnamese, I will introduce the book to members of the Italy-Vietnam Cultural Bridge Association, Italian members, so that they can understand better. Another thing that is no less important is that I will introduce the book to Italian children of Vietnamese origin, born and raised in Italy, so that they can understand better how their country of origin is developing and has become the pride of all Vietnamese people in the world about Vietnam and the Vietnamese people.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Professor, Dr. Le Van Loi affirmed that the values of the book by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, which has been translated into many languages and today has an additional Italian translation, can enrich political and academic discussions in Italy, opening up a vision of a socialist model that can adapt and develop in the new situation, a vision of hope and the future.

At the launch ceremony, Director of the Publishing House Stefano Bonilauri presented the Italian translation of the book to representatives of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Union of Presidents of Vietnamese Associations in Italy and the Vietnamese Students Association in Italy. Meanwhile, Ambassador Duong Hai Hung presented the book to Italian guests attending the program.
