The book "Promoting the tradition of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly rich, civilized and happy" General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has just been published by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Delegation in coordination with the National Political Publishing House Truth.

Commenting on this book, Most Venerable Thich Gia Quang, Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, affirmed that this is a valuable and important book, a lesson guiding the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to become more and more united in the great national unity bloc. Together with other religions, monks, nuns, and Buddhists are determined to join hands to build an increasingly prosperous country and a more prosperous and happy people.

According to Venerable Thich Gia Quang, national solidarity is a precious tradition, a strategic line of the Party, and a decisive factor in all victories in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The solid foundation of national solidarity is the alliance of the working class, farmers and intellectuals, the close relationship between the Party and the people, and the people's trust in the Party and the State.

Great national unity arouses the spirit of solidarity among social classes, ethnic groups, religions, Vietnamese people at home and abroad, and peace-loving and progressive people in the world.

Continuing to promote the tradition of great national solidarity, building the country to be increasingly rich, prosperous, civilized, and happy, the spirit of national solidarity is now built on the foundation of taking the legitimate and legal interests and satisfaction of the people as the center of all policies and strategies; ensuring fairness and equality for each citizen in accessing resources, development opportunities, contributing and enjoying the fruits of development, and exercising the people's right to mastery. Therefore, great solidarity is the cause of the entire nation; caring for, fostering, and firmly consolidating the great national solidarity bloc is the responsibility of the entire political system and of each citizen.

Most Venerable Thich Gia Quang said that it is very necessary to collect and systematize the thoughts, guiding viewpoints, and articles of theoretical and practical value of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on promoting the tradition of great national solidarity so that sectors and levels, especially religious organizations including the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, can grasp and effectively implement the task of promoting the strength of great national solidarity.

Appreciating the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the National Political Publishing House for organizing the publication of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's book to readers, Venerable Thich Gia Quang said that the content of the articles, thoughts, and guiding views of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in this book are drawn from rich practice, demonstrating the vision, clear intelligence, and close, comprehensive, and convincing direction of the General Secretary.

With a structure of 3 parts, the book is a valuable document for the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in promoting its own role and religious and social values, dedicating itself to the spirit: "Serving sentient beings is practically making offerings to the Buddhas." At the same time, inheriting and skillfully combining the values ​​in the teachings and teachings of the Buddha with Ho Chi Minh's thought, promoting the role of Buddhism in serving society and humanity; taking the motto "Dharma - Nation - Socialism" to accompany all its Buddhist activities.

According to Venerable Thich Gia Quang, in building the great national unity bloc, Vietnamese Buddhism has always created the strength to connect the community, all classes and the masses, contributing to firmly consolidating the great national unity bloc.

With the nature of a religion of peace, harmony, closeness and attachment to the people, under the wise leadership of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, the attention and support of agencies, departments and branches of the Party and State, Buddhism has devoted itself to serving society and people, actively supporting and implementing patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to a large number of monasteries; monks, nuns and Buddhists have responded strongly.

Charity movements, social security, building a new cultural life... are focused on and implemented, which is the application of the Buddhist philosophy of compassion, wisdom to save the suffering, and altruism.

Most Venerable Thich Gia Quang said that since its establishment, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has continuously affirmed its position on all fronts, contributing to stable development and ensuring security and social order in response to the country's renewal requirements. The practical values ​​of religion and the noble human values ​​that Buddhism brings to people are oriented towards the noble values ​​of "Truth-Goodness-Beauty".
