Disseminating the content of two books by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

On the afternoon of February 28, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc held a conference to disseminate the contents of two books by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The conference connected online to 416 points with more than 18,300 party members attending.

The conference listened to Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien introduce the book. “Promoting the tradition of great national solidarity, building our country to be increasingly rich, civilized and happy.”

The book demonstrates the consistent thinking of our Party and its leader on building and promoting the great national unity bloc, as demonstrated by the very close and specific guidance of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong for each class, stratum, organization, and Vietnamese people in the country and overseas Vietnamese.

With 748 pages and three parts, the General Secretary's book is a valuable document on building and promoting the tradition of great national unity, contributing to raising awareness, creating consensus, strongly arousing patriotism, national pride, belief, and aspiration to contribute in cadres, party members, people, and the entire political system on the Party and State's policies and viewpoints on the task of great national unity.

Launched on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front, the book has special meaning and value; it is a long-term handbook on theory and practice, of historical significance, promoting the strength of great national unity in the current period, thereby helping Party committees, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, cadres and party members in the political system to study and apply in practice.

At the same time, this is also the political basis for thoroughly grasping and building an action program to implement the Resolution of the 8th Central Conference, Session XIII, on continuing to promote the tradition of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly rich, prosperous, civilized and happy.

Thereby, the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will direct the concretization in the Resolution of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024-2029 term; arouse and promote the strength of great solidarity and creativity of all classes of people, realizing the aspiration to build our country to develop strongly.

Previously, Ambassador, Dr. Pham Lan Dung, Acting Director of the Diplomatic Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, introduced the book. “Building and developing a comprehensive, modern Vietnamese foreign affairs and diplomacy, imbued with the identity of “Vietnamese bamboo.”

The book summarizes the core ideology of Vietnamese foreign affairs and diplomacy throughout thousands of years of national history, with the peak being the diplomacy of the Ho Chi Minh era, along with the Vietnamese diplomatic methodology in assessing the world situation, identifying the characteristics of the era, opportunities and challenges for Vietnam in each historical period...

The book looks back throughout the history of the nation, especially over the past 90 years under the leadership of the Party, clearly pointing out the inheritance and promotion of national traditions, the absorption of the quintessence of humanity, and development on the ideological foundation of the Party, which is Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought, thereby forming a very special and unique school of foreign affairs and diplomacy in the Ho Chi Minh era, imbued with the identity of "Vietnamese bamboo."

The content of the articles and speeches in the book has been distilled and summarized from the profound theoretical research and rich practical revolutionary activities of the General Secretary; demonstrating the strategic vision, clear-sighted intelligence, close and correct leadership and direction of the comrade in foreign affairs and diplomacy, contributing to the development of our Party's theoretical thinking on foreign affairs and international integration.

The book is a very valuable document in theory and practice, a valuable handbook on foreign affairs for foreign affairs staff of all sectors, levels and in the entire political system.

To widely disseminate the content of the two books, turning awareness into concrete action, Party Central Committee member, Party Secretary of the Bloc Nguyen Van The suggested that the subordinate Party Committees continue to organize conferences to study, research, and thematic activities to thoroughly understand the content of the two books to cadres, party members, civil servants, and public employees.

From there, each party member understands and continues to propagate to all classes of people the ideology and guiding viewpoints of the General Secretary drawn from rich practice, demonstrating the vision, clear-sighted intelligence, close, decisive, comprehensive, and convincing direction of the General Secretary for the work of great national unity and Vietnam's foreign affairs.

Regarding the issue of national solidarity, the General Secretary affirmed: National solidarity is the sum of solidarity relationships between classes, strata, ethnicities, religions, genders, economic sectors, regions, and between the people and the Party and the State. National solidarity is expressed in the fields of politics, economics, culture, society, national defense and security.

Promoting the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations is to contribute to the successful implementation of the country's socio-economic development goals.

The subordinate Party Committees carefully study the content and thoughts of the General Secretary on great national unity and Vietnam's foreign policy, apply them to develop plans with specific contents and tasks in the process of leading, directing and organizing the implementation of Party building work and leading the implementation of political tasks of each Party Committee, agency and unit.

Along with a deep understanding of the core content of the two works, each cadre and party member needs to identify specific tasks to improve their professional qualifications, expertise, and political mettle in the process of performing their duties as party members and performing public duties, contributing to building a united and unified party organization, agency, and unit; at the same time contributing to building an increasingly effective Vietnamese foreign policy, building a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
