On the morning of May 11, the People's Court of Cam Giang district brought defendant Le Duc Toan (born in 1998, in Chua village, Cam Dong commune, Cam Giang, Hai Duong) to trial and sentenced him to 4 years and 8 months in prison for theft of property.

According to the indictment, in December 2022 and January 2023, Toan committed 4 thefts of property from local residents, with property worth more than 121.2 million VND.
Among the thefts, Toan committed 3 in his hometown of Cam Dong commune, stealing a Honda Wave motorbike from a tenant and a Honda Vision motorbike from Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, both in Thuong village (inside Ms. Thuy's motorbike were 2 gold rings and 200,000 VND in cash); a Honda SH Mode motorbike from Ms. Bui Thi Hue's family, in Chua village.
In the other case, Toan stole a Honda Wave motorbike from a resident in Tan Truong commune (Cam Giang).
Toan has no stable job, is addicted to games, has been sentenced twice and punished three times for administrative violations related to theft of people's property.
