Illegal operations: 7 households in Lo Cuong rice paper village were fined over 220 million VND

The Chairman of Hai Duong City People's Committee has decided to fine 7 households in Lo Cuong rice noodle village, Tu Minh ward (Hai Duong city) more than 220 million VND for producing rice noodles without an environmental license as prescribed.

In early October, 10 households producing rice noodles in Lo Cuong rice paper village were discovered to be still operating despite the ban (photo provided by the facility).

7 households including Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Van Nhat, Pham Van Thai (all living in Lo Cuong B area); Pham Van Dieu, Vu Thi Xuy, Pham Van Quy, Vu Van Kien (all living in Lo Cuong A area); Pham Thi Trien (Tien Le street, Tu Minh ward), each household was fined 32.5 million VND,

In addition to being fined, the above bakeries will also have their waste generating sources suspended for 135 days from the date of receipt of the decision.

Previously, after inspecting 15 noodle production facilities in Lo Cuong rice paper village in August, Hai Duong City discovered that these facilities did not meet the operating conditions according to environmental protection regulations. Hai Duong City People's Committee requested these households to temporarily suspend operations to fix the problem. However, from October 7-9, an interdisciplinary team of Hai Duong City and Tu Minh Ward People's Committee inspected and discovered that 10 facilities were still operating. The team made records and completed the dossier to request the Chairman of Hai Duong City People's Committee to fine the above 7 facilities, while the remaining 3 facilities are still completing the dossier to request fines.
