On the morning of January 3, the Party Committee of Military Region 3 held the 10th Conference (9th term) to issue a resolution on leading the implementation of military and defense tasks and Party building in 2025.

General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense attended and directed the conference.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Cuong, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 3 chaired the conference.

Comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, highly agreed with the assessment of the results of the leadership in implementing the tasks in 2024 of the Military Region Party Committee.

He affirmed that since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Hai Duong province have focused on leading and directing resolutely and specifically on the basis of completing the construction of military works in the provincial defense area according to the targets set out in the Congress resolution for the 2020-2025 term. Directing to focus on removing obstacles for localities to deploy the construction of military works in the district defense area.

The province effectively leads and directs the implementation of state management work on national defense. Directs drills at all levels to achieve good quality and absolute safety. Completes the plan for education and training on national defense and security knowledge for the subjects.

Implementing well the policy of the military rear, repaying gratitude. The provincial armed forces are at the forefront of the emulation movement "Determined to Win 2024" in block 9 provinces and cities, and are proposed to be awarded the Emulation Flag by the Government.

Speaking at the conference, General Nguyen Tan Cuong commended and acknowledged the efforts and outstanding results that the Party Committee of Military Region 3 has achieved in recent times.

General Nguyen Tan Cuong suggested that the Party Committee of Military Region 3 focus on leadership, direction, grasp, assess, and accurately forecast the situation, promptly advise the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to successfully handle defense and security situations, and avoid being passive or surprised, especially on the border, sea, islands, and key areas.

Lead and direct the effective implementation of the Party's resolutions on socio-economic development associated with ensuring national defense and security. Mobilize and effectively use resources to build a strong national defense and a solid military zone.

Organize training, drills, competitions, and sports events with high results, ensuring absolute safety. Proactively prepare plans, strategies, and forces and means to be ready to effectively respond to natural disasters and fires and perform well in search and rescue missions. Focus on building a strong Party organization in the Military Region in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization, and cadres...

The conference unanimously evaluated the year 2024, the Party Committee of Military Region 3 thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the directives and resolutions of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense; comprehensively deployed all aspects of work, successfully completed military and defense tasks. Notably, the leadership and direction were to firmly grasp the situation at the border, sea and islands and inland; coordinate with forces to proactively fight against crimes, smuggling, and trade fraud at sea and on the border, maintaining political security, social order and safety.

Maintain strict discipline and combat readiness regime, improve training quality according to the motto "basic, practical, solid" and closely follow reality and combat objects. Organize training, participate in parades and marches to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory. Prepare well forces and means to participate in preventing, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, searching and rescuing, especially storm No. 3.
