Hai Duong voters hope for stable prices as wages increase

Excited about the increase in basic salary and hoping that price stabilization policies will be implemented are the thoughts of many Hai Duong voters today.

Before the 23rd session of the 17th Hai Duong Provincial People's Council (mid-year regular session), voters and people of Hai Duong sent many thoughts and aspirations.

Clear changes in receiving people and handling petitions

According to the report on voters' thoughts and aspirations compiled by the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, in the first 6 months of the year, voters and people of Hai Duong were excited with many policies issued by the Central Government and the province.

In particular, the people were happy when the National Assembly approved the policy of increasing the basic salary of officials and civil servants from 1.8 to 2.34 million VND. Voters in Hai Duong hope that many solutions will be implemented to stabilize the market, prices of goods and services and avoid inflation.

The involvement of functional agencies and positive results in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity have been recognized and highly appreciated by voters and people of Hai Duong, further strengthening their belief in the determination of the Party and State.

Over the past 6 months, changes and innovations in administrative reform have been welcomed and accepted by the majority of voters and people of Hai Duong.

In particular, voters and people are satisfied when the reception of citizens, handling of petitions, complaints and denunciations has clearly changed, with a high rate of settlement.

Speed ​​up the project of Hai Duong city central urban area

According to the synthesis of voters' opinions and recommendations before the session of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council, voters of Hai Duong City requested the province to direct the acceleration of the implementation progress of the central urban area project, creating a highlight for the city.

Voters of Kinh Mon town requested to inspect and handle the situation of heavy trucks over 18 tons running continuously day and night across Dong Ha bridge (An Phu ward), causing serious damage to the road; at the same time, invest in building the remaining 3 km of road on route 389B. Voters also requested to upgrade and repair the inter-district road connecting Ninh Xa village, Le Ninh commune (Kinh Mon) with An Lac ward (Chi Linh city) to develop tourism.

Also related to traffic infrastructure, voters of Kim Thanh district proposed to expand and speed up the construction of the southern feeder road of the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway and consider investing in the construction of a residential road north of National Highway 5, from km 65 through Pham Xa station.

Voters expect to soon have support policies to help Phu Thai town soon achieve the goal of becoming a type IV urban area before 2030; request financial support to build a new Bat Nao bridge connecting Kim Anh commune and Phu Thai town, which is currently seriously degraded and at risk of traffic safety.

Voters in Gia Loc district proposed building speed bumps on provincial road 393 through the center of Le Loi commune to ensure traffic safety.

Regarding the environment, voters of Nam Sach district requested to regularly inspect and evaluate the quality of clean water for rural living by water supply units in the district. Voters of Thong Nhat commune (Gia Loc) requested to support the cost of transporting rural household waste to the transfer point for treatment.

Attention to grassroots cultural institutions

In the cultural and social fields, voters of many districts, towns and cities in the province requested support for the construction and upgrading of facilities, and the purchase of equipment at cultural and sports institutions at the grassroots level to serve the cultural and sports needs of the people and build a model new rural area. In particular, cultural houses and sports grounds at the district and commune levels are deteriorating and are in dire need of investment to serve the cultural life of the people. Voters of Hong Quang commune (Thanh Mien) requested the province to pay attention to the restoration and embellishment of the national historical and cultural relic of Nhu Xa pagoda.

Voters from Kim Thanh, Binh Giang, and Gia Loc districts proposed investing in modern medical equipment for district-level health centers and commune-level health stations to serve the medical examination and treatment needs of local people right at the grassroots level. Voters from Ninh Giang district suggested the province consider adding specialized information technology officials to the People's Committees at the commune level.

Voters of Nam Sach district proposed to attach importance to education on national historical traditions, ethics, and cultural lifestyle in the 2018 general education program and recommended to unify the teaching of a common set of textbooks throughout the country.

The opinions, thoughts and aspirations of voters in the province have been compiled by the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and reported to the 23rd Session of the 17th Provincial People's Council.
