Water pollution, online sales, and audit loopholes causing economic losses are three "hot" issues that were questioned in the National Assembly. Some voters and National Assembly deputies of Hai Duong province expressed satisfaction with the questioning session.
On the morning of June 6, the question-and-answer session at the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly ended after 2.5 days. Four ministers and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha were questioned on four groups of issues on natural resources and environment, industry and trade, auditing, culture, sports and tourism.
According to Hai Duong Newspaper reporters, some Hai Duong voters were satisfied when 3 "hot" issues close to the people were brought up for questioning.
Bac Hung Hai was named again
I am very happy and satisfied when delegate Nguyen Thi Viet Nga, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province, on behalf of voters, requested the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment to propose a solution to "revive" the Bac Hung Hai irrigation system. The National Assembly delegate of Hai Duong province also continued to raise the current situation of the Bac Hung Hai irrigation system as a dead river due to pollution, affecting agricultural production activities and people's lives.
As a fish farmer who has just suffered heavy losses, I and many other farmers were somewhat encouraged when our difficulties and hardships were listened to and conveyed to the National Assembly by the provincial delegates.
The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment has proposed solutions, including the establishment of a River Basin Management Committee, defining the responsibilities of agencies in managing and treating wastewater discharged into rivers. I hope these measures will soon be implemented to save the rivers and limit the impact of pollution on farmers' production activities.
Fierce questioning about online sales regulations
Many of my relatives and friends have bought fake, counterfeit, and poor quality goods when ordering online.
Online sales are now diverse, diverse, and chaotic, which is also a concern for traditional sellers. Regulations on online sales have been questioned at the National Assembly session along with solutions that show hope that online sales will be more strictly managed in the near future.
However, what voters are not really satisfied with is that when asked whether the livestream sessions with revenue of hundreds of billions that the online community is buzzing about are real or fake, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien did not answer clearly. This is an issue that people are very interested in but has not been answered in the question and answer session.
From the perspective of a startup from selling online to having a physical store, I affirm that buying directly at a fixed location is still safer and less risky for consumers.
Therefore, I hope that after the questioning session, the Government will have a policy to strengthen the management of online sales to protect consumers, while facilitating people to do business and trade in the online environment.
Proposing feasible solutions to prevent audit errors
Attending the question-and-answer session and directly questioning and debating the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment and the State Auditor General three times, I found the question-and-answer session to be lively and focused. Five times, National Assembly delegates from Hai Duong province questioned the Ministers, heads of sectors and Deputy Prime Ministers.
Regarding the group of issues under the authority of the State Auditor General to question, the issue of large corporations that have been audited but no violations have been found is an issue that has received much attention from voters in recent times. The Auditor General answered very clearly, concisely and offered feasible solutions instead of general solutions. Therefore, the questioning session was very frank.
Although this was the first time the State Auditor General answered questions before the National Assembly and voters nationwide, he was the only sector leader to answer all 35 questions and one debate from National Assembly deputies. The question-and-answer session on the audit sector ended much earlier than scheduled.
Many delegates were interested in questioning the State Auditor General about the implementation of the conclusions and recommendations of the State Audit and the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in auditing activities. This is also the content I questioned the State Auditor General about and the State Auditor General has proposed feasible solutions.
