President signs decision to give gifts to meritorious people on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024

Accordingly, the gift of 600,000 VND is given to people with revolutionary contributions, including people who participated in revolutionary activities before January 1, 1945 and are receiving monthly preferential allowances.

Revolutionary activists from January 1, 1945 to the August 1945 uprising are receiving monthly preferential allowances; Vietnamese heroic mothers are receiving monthly preferential allowances.

Heroes of the People's Armed Forces and Labor Heroes during the resistance war are receiving monthly preferential allowances.

War invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 81% or more are receiving monthly preferential allowances.

Resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 81% or more are receiving monthly preferential allowances/people who have contributed to the revolution are receiving monthly support allowances.

Relatives of martyrs receiving monthly survivor allowance and relatives of two or more martyrs receiving monthly survivor allowance will also receive a gift of VND 600,000.

Gift level of 300,000 VND for people with revolutionary contributions,including war invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 80% or less who are receiving monthly preferential allowances. War invalids who are enjoying a regime of loss of working capacity.

Resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 80% or less are receiving monthly preferential allowances.

Revolutionary activists, resistance fighters, national defenders, and those performing international duties who were captured, imprisoned, or exiled by the enemy are receiving monthly preferential allowances. People who have contributed to the revolution are receiving monthly preferential allowances.

Representatives of martyrs' relatives and martyr worshipers (in case the martyrs have no relatives) will also receive a gift of 300,000 VND.

Previously, according to the Government's proposal, the gift levels for people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024 include 2 levels: 300,000 VND/gift and 600,000 VND/gift.

The total number of people with revolutionary contributions receiving gifts from the President on the occasion of the 2024 Lunar New Year is nearly 1.47 million people, belonging to 14 different groups.

The total budget for giving gifts to people with revolutionary contributions during the 2024 Lunar New Year is more than 449 billion VND. This amount has been allocated in the 2024 State budget plan.

This is also one of many gratitude activities towards more than 9.2 million people with revolutionary contributions and their relatives nationwide on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024.
