Man arrested for buying more than 2,300 drug pills and hiding them in his house to sell for profit

On the morning of November 8, a representative of Hue City Police (Thua Thien - Hue) said that the unit's forces had just discovered and arrested Mai Van Hai Hoang (born in 1973, residing at 43 Hoai Thanh Street, Thuy Xuan Ward, Hue City) and seized more than 2,300 drug pills.

Previously, through professional work, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team, Hue City Police, in coordination with Thuy Xuan Ward Police, received information that Mai Van Hai Hoang had signs related to drugs.

At about 7:00 p.m. on November 3, 2023, the Hue City Police Working Group conducted a surprise inspection of Hoang's residence at the above address and discovered and seized 2,317 red tablets and 20 blue tablets.

Initially, Hoang confessed that all of the above evidence was synthetic drugs in the form of pink pills, which Hoang bought to sell for profit.

Previously, at 10:02 a.m. on October 17, the joint force including Customs, Border Guard and Police inspected a 16-seat passenger car with license plate number 75B-01697, Ford brand, driven by Mr. Dang Kim Hung (residing in Loc Bon commune, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien - Hue) while completing customs clearance procedures through La Lay International Border Gate (Quang Tri).

Through the X-ray images, the joint force discovered that the bottom of the Latasoy milk box contained many round, pink tablets with the letters "WY" embossed on the surface. After the functional force took samples for testing, the drug testing machine gave a warning result of drug detection.

The joint force made a record of the incident and organized forces to search for the car with license plate number 75B - 01697 to arrest the recipient according to the location and phone number listed on the package.

At 3:35 p.m. the same day, in La Son village (Loc Son commune, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien - Hue province), the joint force caught Nguyen Quang Linh (born in 2002, residing in Nam Phuoc village, Loc An commune, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien - Hue province) red-handed while he was receiving goods at the bus station. The seized evidence was 2,000 drug pills.

Initially, Linh said he came to receive the drugs on behalf of a person named Huynh Dai (unknown year of birth, residing in Nam Phuoc village). However, during the investigation and investigation, Linh admitted that he was the owner of all the synthetic drugs.
