Organizing drug use at Minh Anh Karaoke bar, 3 subjects received nearly 25 years in prison

The defendants include: Nguyen Ngoc Luat, born in 1985, residing in Phuong Khe village, Tuan Viet commune; Nguyen Quy Tu, born in 1990, residing in Bac village, Co Dung commune (both in Kim Thanh district, Hai Duong) and Luu Thi Hong Hien, born in 1988, residing in Duong Chi village, Lien Son commune, Lap Thach district (Vinh Phuc).

According to the indictment, at around 9:30 p.m. on September 1, 2023, at VIP room 5 of Minh Anh Karaoke bar in Bung Dua village, Tuan Viet commune, Luat rented a location, initiated and provided tools for drug use. Tu provided money to buy drugs. Hien went to buy drugs, prepared tools for Tu and Hien to illegally use drugs...

At 0:30 on September 2, 2023, the Investigation Police Agency of Kim Thanh District Police and Tuan Viet Commune Police inspected VIP5 room, Minh Anh Karaoke bar, discovered the crimes of the defendants, and seized evidence including: half a white tablet weighing 0.153 g of drugs, a white ceramic plate with white crystals on the surface of the ceramic plate still sticking to Ketamine, a 10,000 VND bill rolled into a straw, and a citizen identification card in the name of Nguyen Ngoc Luat.

The jury sentenced Nguyen Ngoc Luat to 8 years and 6 months in prison, Nguyen Quy Tu to 8 years and 3 months in prison, and Luu Thi Hong Hien to 8 years in prison.
