Accident kills 4 mother and children: Director prosecuted for giving "tiger pounce" car to drug-ridden driver

On July 20, according to information from Hanoi City Police, the Investigation Police Agency of Hoai Duc District Police prosecuted and temporarily detained Le Van Tiep (born in 1981, residing in Tan Phong, Binh Xuyen, Vinh Phuc) for the act of "Putting into use an unsafe road motor vehicle" according to Article 262 - Penal Code.

Regarding the incident, on July 17, Hoai Duc District Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and detain driver Dam Van Luong (born in 1986, Quang Hoa District, Cao Bang) to investigate and handle the act of "Violating regulations on road traffic participation".

During the investigation expansion process, the Investigation Police Agency clarified that Le Van Tiep (Director of Anh Dung Construction, Trade and Transportation Company Limited) had given an unsafe car to Dam Van Luong for use, violating Article 262 of the Penal Code.

The Investigation Police Agency continues to focus on investigating, expanding the case, and strictly handling the subjects according to the law.

Previously, at around 11:00 a.m. on July 16, at the intersection between DH05 Street and Ba Chang Street, in Duong Lieu Commune, Hoai Duc District, a traffic accident occurred between a "HOWO" car with license plate 88H-288.49 driven by Dam Van Luong and a truck with license plate 29C-597.75.

After the collision, the truck with license plate 29C-597.75 flew out and hit the motorbike driven by Ms. H (born in 1992, in Cat Que, Hoai Duc) carrying her 3 children. All 4 people on the motorbike died on the spot.

After the accident, driver Dam Van Luong left the scene.

At 11:45 p.m. the same day, the authorities discovered and brought Dam Van Luong to the Hoai Duc District Police Station for questioning, while Luong was hiding at a motel in Duc Thuong Commune, Hoai Duc District.

Through testing, Dam Van Luong tested positive for drugs.
