Archer Nguyen Hoang Phi Vu of Hai Duong has excellently won the gold medal in the men's single-string bow all-around event at the 2025 National Excellent Archery Championship.
The tournament took place from April 8 to 10 in Quang Ninh province. According to head coach Nguyen Xuan Thanh, the Hai Duong archery team participated in the tournament with 1 coach, 1 Korean expert and 15 athletes. The archers competed in many events, focusing on single-string bows.
Hai Duong delegation won 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals at the tournament. The delegation's only gold medal belonged to archer Nguyen Hoang Phi Vu in the men's single-string bow all-around event.
In addition, Nguyen Hoang Phi Vu also brought home three bronze medals including the individual qualifying event, 70m distance and men's doubles single string when competing with athlete Tran The Anh. He was also part of the team that won the silver medal in the men's single string team event, competing with athletes Tran The Anh and Nguyen Tuan Son.
The 2025 National Archery Championship brings together more than 200 athletes from 18 delegations across the country. The archers compete in two categories: single-string bow and triple-string bow, with a total of 36 sets of medals. This is an important playground to evaluate the quality of training and select athletes for upcoming international tournaments.
