Standing member of the Secretariat Vo Van Thuong has just signed the Secretariat's directive on organizing the Lunar New Year 2023.

The Secretariat requested Party committees and authorities at all levels to focus on directing the effective implementation of social security policies, promoting the tradition of great solidarity and the spirit of "mutual love" of the nation, taking care of the material and spiritual life of the people, ensuring that every household and every person has the conditions to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet.

Pay attention to caring for policy families, people in difficult circumstances, poor households, people in localities affected by natural disasters, epidemics, remote areas, border areas, islands, ethnic minority areas and mountainous areas; workers and laborers working in economic zones, industrial zones, export processing zones, especially those who have lost their jobs.

The Secretariat also requested to organize well the visits and New Year greetings to war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, families with meritorious services to the country, veteran revolutionary cadres, heroic Vietnamese mothers, intellectuals, regular forces on duty during the New Year holidays..., especially in border areas, islands, difficult areas, and areas with complicated political security, order, and social safety.

At the same time, well implement the management and organization of festivals according to regulations, ensuring that festival activities, spring celebrations, etc. are practical, safe, economical, in accordance with civilized lifestyle, cultural traditions of the nation and good customs and practices of each locality.

Local leaders, based on practical situations, decide to organize fireworks displays to welcome the New Year 2023 and the Lunar New Year of Quy Mao in accordance with local conditions and capabilities, ensuring safety, savings, and not using the state budget.

Do not organize visits and New Year greetings to superiors and leaders at all levels; do not organize central delegations to visit and wish New Year greetings to Party committees and authorities of provinces and cities.

It is strictly forbidden to give or receive Tet gifts to leaders at all levels in any form; only attend pagodas and festivals when assigned; do not participate in superstitious activities.

Do not use state budget, means, and public assets contrary to regulations. Officials and party members, especially leaders of Party committees and organizations, must truly set an example in celebrating the spring and Tet holiday in a healthy, safe, and economical manner.

Closely inspect and monitor to ensure food safety, environmental sanitation, disease prevention and control, especially COVID-19, flu, dengue fever, monkeypox, etc.

Strengthen market forecasting and management, stabilize prices, ensure balance between supply and demand of goods and services, ensure gasoline and essential goods.

Timely detect and strictly handle all acts of commercial fraud, production and trading of counterfeit and poor quality goods, speculation, hoarding, and pushing up prices of goods abnormally to gain illegal profits...

Quickly return to work as usual after the holidays, strive to complete tasks right from the first months of the year. Focus on ensuring national defense, security, order, social safety, and cyber safety.
