Tu Ky has the largest organic rice growing area in the province.

Organic rice is fertilized entirely by farmers with biological products, safe for the environment.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tu Ky district, this year's crop, the district's organic rice area reached more than 400 hectares, the highest in Hai Duong province. Organic rice is grown by farmers in An Thanh and Quang Trung communes. These are areas where crabs are exploited, so farmers grow organic rice to protect the environment.

In organic rice areas, farmers mainly grow ST25, Bac Huong, Dai Thom, Nep, J02 and some other high-quality rice varieties. Organic rice yields from 34-45 quintals/ha, only 75% compared to the same type of rice grown conventionally, but the economic efficiency is twice as high and the entire output is guaranteed.

Tu Ky district is currently the locality with the largest organic rice growing area in the province. Of which, An Thanh commune has 137 hectares that have been certified by the TQC Quality Testing and Certification Center (Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations) to meet Vietnam's organic agriculture standards.
