On the morning of March 22, the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Loc district said that 1 out of 4 cases of violations of irrigation works arising in 2024 in the district had been handled.

After a period of active propaganda and mobilization by specialized agencies and local authorities, Mr. Nguyen Van Vong in Doan Thuong commune proactively dismantled the 16 m wide guard house.²in the transition area within the protection range of Dinh Dao canal (belonging to Bac Hung Hai irrigation system). He also signed a commitment not to repeat the violation.

According to the reporter's investigation, this is the first case out of 17 cases of violations of irrigation works arising in 2024 in Hai Duong to be cleared.

The remaining 16 violations that have not been or are being handled are in Gia Loc, Tu Ky, and Ninh Giang districts. These cases are mainly involved in violations such as building temporary shelters, barns, building surrounding walls, embankments, building houses, wharves, etc. within the protection area of ​​irrigation works on Dinh Dao and Cuu An canals, etc.

At the end of February, the Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee directed the complete removal of the above 17 cases in 2025; propagate and mobilize organizations and individuals who violate the law to voluntarily remove violations that have existed since before December 31, 2023. In cases where they do not voluntarily remove the violations, enforcement will be carried out to remove and clear the violations. Both of these tasks must be completed before March 31, 2025.
