Previously, on April 4, in the urban area of Co Nhue 1 ward, Bac Tu Liem district, the police discovered Phung Van Thi and Dinh Tien Trung acting suspiciously, so they conducted an inspection.
During the inspection, Phung Van Thi handed over 2 plastic bags containing tablets and 1 plastic bag containing white crystals. Thi admitted that the tablets and crystals were pink meth and crystal meth.
In addition, the police also seized many tools used by the subject to steal, including: a motorbike lock breaker, a folding knife, hydraulic pliers...
The police force drew up a record and escorted Thi and Trung to headquarters for further investigation.
Thi confessed that in addition to illegally storing drugs, he also asked Trung to go with him to steal property. Thi used a knife, pliers, and a crowbar to break the car lock... while Trung was on guard duty.
According to the police, the two subjects had committed many motorbike thefts in Hanoi. Thi would then transport the stolen motorbikes to Son La to sell to Nguyen Van Trong and Nguyen Van Nghi according to a previous agreement. The police have summoned the subjects involved to clarify the incident.
At the police station, the subjects stated that around March 2024, Trong knew that Nghi was buying motorbikes without papers to sell to Laos and knew that Thi was selling motorbikes of unknown origin, so he proposed to buy motorbikes to resell to Nghi for the purpose of making a profit.
From mid-May 2023 to April 4, 2024, the subjects stole 11 motorbikes. Thi and Trung sold the stolen motorbikes to Trong for personal expenses.
