Hanoi University of Science and Technology has just announced the exam scores of the Thinking Assessment (TSA) round 1 in 2025. In this exam, there was a candidate who achieved the highest score ever.
TSA round 1 in 2025 was held in 2 testing sessions, Saturday afternoon (January 18, 2025) and Sunday morning (January 19, 2025) with nearly 14,000 candidates registering to take the exam. The exam was held at the same time at 31 testing locations, including 18 testing locations in Hanoi and 13 testing locations in the following localities: Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Da Nang. The exam was successfully held with a candidate participation rate of over 99%. The exam marking work was urgently deployed immediately after that. The highest score of the first batch in 2025 was 98.61/100 - this is the highest score ever, breaking the current record for valedictorian. The valedictorian of the first batch in 2025 is from Bac Ninh Specialized High School.
There were 5 candidates who scored over 90 points; 65 candidates who scored over 80 points; 637 candidates who scored over 70 points.
The average score of the first batch in 2025 is 54.54/100
The top 5 of the first round are candidates from the following high schools: Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, Bac Ninh; Vinh Bao High School, Hai Phong; Tam Duong High School, Vinh Phuc; Lien Son High School, Vinh Phuc and Natural Sciences High School for the Gifted, Hanoi.
Starting from 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will issue exam result certificates to candidates in the form of electronic signatures and sent directly to the candidates' exam registration accounts on the system. The results of the Thinking Assessment Test are used in university admissions for the 2025 admissions season with nearly 50 schools using it. Hanoi University of Science and Technology plans to increase the quota based on the Thinking Assessment Test scores for 65 training programs. The 2025 Thinking Assessment Test has 2 more rounds, specifically: Round 2: Exam date March 8-9, 2025; Registration system opening date February 1-6, 2025. Round 3: Exam date April 26-27, 2025; Registration system opening date April 1-6, 2025.
This year, Hanoi University of Science and Technology plans to increase 10% of enrollment quotas based on thinking assessment scores for 65 training programs.
