Three months before the start of the Party Congress at each level, it is necessary to stop adding members to the Party Committee and Standing Committee of the provincial and district Party Committees for the 2020-2025 term.
The Politburo requested to stop adding Party Committee members and Standing Committee members of provincial and district Party Committees for the 2020-2025 term 3 months before the start of the Party Congress at each level (provincial level before July 1, 2025, district level before April 1, 2025).
The information is stated in Conclusion No. 118-KL/TW dated January 18, 2025 of the Politburo on adjusting and supplementing a number of contents of Directive No. 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024 on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Previously, Directive No. 35-CT/TW determined: "Stop adding members to the Party Committee and Standing Committee of the Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term 6 months before the start of the congress at each level. Special cases will be considered and decided by competent authorities." According to this directive, the Congress of Party Committees at district level and equivalent levels will not exceed 3 days, to be completed before August 31, 2025. The Congress of Party Committees directly under the Central Committee will not exceed 4 days, to be completed before October 31, 2025.
