Hai Duong Department of Finance has just issued a document to inform people to use VNeID accounts when performing administrative procedures under the authority of this department.
Accordingly, from June 15, 2024, citizens who need to resolve administrative procedures under the jurisdiction of the Department of Finance will register and log in to their accounts on the National Public Service Portal using the only method of VNeID account.
Citizens can contact hotline 1900.0368 (Ministry of Public Security) for support to resolve difficulties and problems in the process of registering and logging into a VNeID account.
Accounts of organizations and enterprises on the National Public Service Portal are maintained and used as they are now; they will be converted after receiving instructions from the Ministry of Public Security.
Previously, on May 3, at the fourth meeting of the Prime Minister's Working Group on administrative procedure reform, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang requested ministries, branches and localities to urgently complete preparations to unify the use of a single account, VNeID, in performing online public services from July 1.
Currently, to be able to submit documents and register administrative procedures through the Public Service Portal, users will log in through 3 methods including accounts registered through the public service portal, post office accounts or VNeID accounts.
The completion of the unified use of a single VNeID account is a requirement of the Government. Because currently, each user often has many public service accounts issued by different ministries, branches, and localities, causing inconvenience, difficulty in managing personal information, and having to remember many transaction accounts and passwords.
Meanwhile, VNeID is a mobile application developed by the National Population Data Center of the Ministry of Public Security, aiming to replace traditional documents and provide utilities for digital citizens, digital government and digital society.
VNeID not only brings practical benefits to people but also plays a particularly important role in state management; helps reduce waste and errors in the use of traditional documents, saving costs and time for people and the State.
Integrating VNeID with the National Public Service Portal will help people fill out transaction forms in an electronic environment quickly, ensuring security compared to traditional transaction methods. Personal information integrated into the electronic identification account also helps citizens reduce the need to carry related documents while still ensuring legal validity. This also ensures confidentiality, reliability and accuracy, bringing convenience and safety to citizens in the process of implementing public administrative procedures.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, by the end of May 2024, the total number of electronic identification account uses on Public Service Portals was more than 29 million; the number of logins on the Etax application of the General Department of Taxation was more than 2 million, the number of logins on the VssID application of the Vietnam Social Security was more than 10 million. The total amount of money saved for the State is estimated at 469 billion VND.
In the "Administrative Procedures" section on the National Public Service Portal, the Department of Finance has a total of 13 administrative procedures under its jurisdiction.
