In the 2024-2025 school year, the province has a total of 32,303 children to be mobilized to attend classes. Of which, the province has recruited more than 32,280 first graders, reaching nearly 100%. The rate of 6-year-old children entering first grade also reached nearly 100%; the rate of children with disabilities mobilized to attend integrated first grade reached nearly 84%. Therefore, the decrease in the number of first graders may be due to the low birth rate.
In the 2024-2025 school year, the average ratio of first graders per class in Hai Duong is 30.5 students per class. The average ratio of first graders per class in each locality is from 29-33 students per class. The highest is Chi Linh city with an average of 33 students per class, the lowest is Kinh Mon town with 29 students per class.
