On the morning of August 28, primary schools in the province happily welcomed more than 140,000 students in grades 2, 3, 4, and 5 back to school.
In Hai Duong City, it was raining this morning but many parents still took their children to school early. Students were excited to see their friends and teachers again after a long summer break. Except for first graders, today, teachers will inform elementary school students of school rules and regulations; arrange timetables; review textbooks... to create the best mindset for them to enter the new school year.
Previously, on August 21, over 34,000 first graders across the province returned to school. According to the 2023-2024 school year schedule of the Provincial People's Committee, preschool children and students in the remaining grades will return to school tomorrow, August 29.
Students across the province will start school on September 5, 2023.
In the 2023-2024 school year, the whole province has over 250 primary schools with more than 176,000 students, a decrease of about 7,700 students compared to the previous school year.
