Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Hieu congratulates the Protestant Church and the Hai Duong Parish on the occasion of Christmas.

On the occasion of Christmas 2024, Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation visited and congratulated the Protestant Church and the Hai Duong Parish. Accompanying him were leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and a number of departments and branches.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee wished Father Vu Hung Cuong, Protestant Church; Father Giuse Nguyen Van Vang, Hai Duong Deanery, Hai Duong Parish Priest, along with dignitaries, officials, and all the people a peaceful and happy Christmas.

Christmas is an important ritual for all Catholics and has become a cultural feature and a common festival for the whole society. In particular, this year's Christmas takes place in the context of the foreign relations between the State of Vietnam and the Vatican achieving very good results.

Providing an overview of the socio-economic development situation of Hai Duong province in 2024, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that with the drastic participation of the entire political system, the efforts of the business community and the people, including the parishioners, Hai Duong has achieved many outstanding results. The province's economic growth reached 10.2%, ranking 6th out of 63 provinces and cities. State budget revenue exceeded 46.7% of the estimate. Social security was ensured. National defense and security were maintained.

The cultural and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved. The religious and belief needs of the people have been fully and promptly met by the Party Committees and authorities at all levels. The parishioners are united, comply with the State's policies and laws; actively work and produce, contributing to the overall development of the locality.

Recognizing and appreciating the positive contributions of the Protestant Church and the Hai Duong Parish, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the priests and the Executive Committee of the Church to continue to pay attention and guide the people to effectively implement the direction of "Living the gospel in the heart of the nation to serve the happiness of the people". He hoped that the people would continue to strive to build a life of "Good life, good religion", accompanying the nation, contributing with all classes of people to build the homeland of Hai Duong to become more and more prosperous and civilized.
