Dien Chau District Police coordinated with the Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security to arrest Pham Van Tien and Dinh Bat Long for "Illegally transporting drugs" and seized 15 heroin cakes.
On February 29, information from Dien Chau District Police, Nghe An Province, said that this force successfully broke up a case, arresting 2 subjects illegally transporting 15 heroin cakes.
The two arrested subjects are Pham Van Tien (born in 1983, permanent resident of Nghi Truong commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province) and Dinh Bat Long (born in 1985, permanent resident of Thanh Phong commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province).
Previously, through professional work, Dien Chau District Police discovered a large drug ring from abroad, through unofficial channels, smuggling into Huong Son District of Ha Tinh Province, through Dien Chau District of Nghe An Province, and then to the northern provinces for consumption.
During the investigation, Dien Chau District Police identified Tien and Long as two important links in this drug trafficking ring. The two subjects regularly had relationships and contacts with many drug-related subjects inside and outside the district; and were often present in Huong Son District, Ha Tinh Province and the northern provinces.
The modus operandi of these two subjects was to disguise themselves as family drivers to illegally transport drugs, frequently changing vehicles, routes, and methods of communication to deal with authorities.
Using many professional measures, Dien Chau District Police coordinated with the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security to catch Pham Van Tien and Dinh Bat Long red-handed for the act of "Illegally transporting drugs" and seized 15 heroin cakes.
At the police station, Pham Van Tien and Dinh Bat Long confessed their crimes.
Currently, the case continues to be investigated and expanded.
