Car models that have played an important role in human history

Throughout human history, automobiles have played an important and indispensable role. They are not only a means of transportation, but also a symbol of progress, innovation and freedom.

These famous cars have changed the way we live, work and interact with the world around us, leaving an indelible mark on human history.

1. Benz Patent-Motorwagen:

The Benz Patent-Motorwagen was designed and built by German engineer Karl Benz in 1885. The vehicle was patented on January 29, 1886, and was first introduced in Mannheim, Germany on July 3, 1886.

It is considered the world's first commercial automobile. A total of about 25 were produced between 1886 and 1893, with a price tag of about $4,900 in today's dollars.

2. Oldsmobile Model R:

The Oldsmobile Model R, also known as the Oldsmobile Curved Dash, is credited with being the world's first mass-produced automobile. This means that the Oldsmobile Model R was built on an assembly line and used interchangeable parts. A total of over 19,000 were produced between 1901 and 1907.

3. Ford Model T:

The Ford Model T is one of the most important and influential cars in the history of the automobile industry, with over 15 million produced. The Model T is often considered the first affordable car, providing transportation for the American middle class.

Ford used the assembly line system of production, which reduced costs and increased productivity. This was a turning point in the popularization of cars and changed the way people moved.

4. Graf & Stift 28/32 PS Double Phaeton:

A less familiar brand to Vietnamese consumers, Graf & Stift is an Austrian manufacturer of cars, trucks, buses and trams, operating from 1902 until 2001, then becoming a subsidiary of the MAN group.

In particular, this is the car associated with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the main cause of World War I, and the trigger for conflicts around the world to this day.

5. Willys Jeep:

The Willys Jeep was one of the first military vehicles used in World War II. The Willys Jeep's unique design and rugged off-road capabilities helped give the US and allied forces the upper hand on the battlefield.

6. Studebaker US6:

Manufactured by the Studebaker Corporation and REO Motor Car Company, the Studebaker US6 was a truck model provided by the United States to the Soviet Union under the Lend-Lease agreement.

With its special 6x6 design, the Studebaker US6 was suitable for many terrain and weather conditions on the Eastern Front, contributing significantly to the ability to transport goods and forces for the allies during World War II.

7. Volkswagen Beetle:

Designed by Ferdinand Porsche and produced by Volkswagen from 1938 to 2003, the Beetle is the longest-running and most-produced car on a single platform ever created, with 21,529,464 units built.

This was also the platform for his son, Ferdinand "Ferry" Porsche, to launch the Porsche 356, the predecessor of the iconic Porsche 911 sports car.

8. Toyota AA:

The Toyota AA is considered to be the first car produced by Toyota and a major turning point in the company's history. This experimental version was produced at the Koromo plant in Japan. The car was later redesigned and put into commercial production as the AA sedan and AB convertible.

9. Ford Mustang:

10. Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV):

The Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV) was a specialized vehicle used during visits to the Moon by NASA astronauts during the Apollo program. The vehicle was used to move around the surface of Earth's satellite during the Apollo 15, 16, and 17 missions.

The LRV enhances astronaut mobility and allows them to travel further from the spacecraft and explore different areas of the Moon.
